Dealer B.S. on CL brakes question

Dealer is giving me B.S. about my brakes. I have the symptoms of the pulsing brakes that the TSB is for.
Dealer says that it does not apply to me because my brakes are the way they are due to normal wear.
I have 18k miles on the car. Anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone think 18k is time for a normal front brake job?

18k?? Ask your dealer how many mm you have left on your brakes. I think the TSB says something about your brakes must have X left. But I can't remember offhand. Or try another dealer.

Well, I just had my rotors resurfaced and new brake pads put on in the front at 25,500 miles and it was all covered under warranty. Is there another Acura dealer nearby that you can go to? This stuff should be covered under warranty unless your brakes are really worn already.

Re: Dealer B.S. on CL brakes question

I had the same problem with my CLS. I took it to Acura 101 West at around 23k and told them about the TSB out on the rotors. They told me it was normal wear and tear and didn't acknowledge the TSB was for the CLS, rather the RL.

It was obvious they weren't gonna do jack for me, so I took my car to Keyes Acura and they fixed me right up. NO hesitation on their part.

So you can either try to argue with your dealer or take it to another Acura dealer for service. I have a scan of the TSB floating around, do a search. G'luck.

I just got my front brakes done today.

They went for nearly 57,000 miles before I had to even touch anything, pads, rotors, whatever.
