Dateline segment on small fender-benders...focus on front/back bumpers

if u missed it tonight, here's the story on the web...only a few models, but i think the point has been made...safety apparently comes at an even higher price tag for some manufacturers

I don't get it. Cars like these with shitty bumpers get approved by the DOT but FMIC cars like the Evo VII have to have their stuff redesigned to comply?
