Danger Danger
So I got a recall for my 2003 honda element Passenger airbag.. That means the the airbag by Takata is defective and dangerous on the passenger side if not replaced.
I've decided to disable my SRS/ airbags for my 2003 CL because there is no telling if my passenger side is defective or not. The driver side air bag has been replaced but still NO Recall for the passenger side for the CL.. For my kinfolks sake I'm disabling my airbag system till honda recall the passenger side!

That's a pretty stupid decision. Disabling all of your air bags because your passenger side bag might be defective seems absurd. What if no one is even sitting in the passenger's seat? What if the defective airbag would be better than no airbag?
It's been 15 years. I'm sure many people have been saved by a passenger airbag in the 2G CL and TL cars.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not. If you think disabling all of your airbags is a good idea, then you're not very bright.
There are a lot more people who had their lives saved by airbags than injuries from these airbags. Also, your passenger side airbag isn't confirmed to be defective. In the last 15 years, how many people had shrapnel injuries from CL/TL Passenger airbags? Do some proper research, not single case or anecdotal reviews.

Im very bright and intelligent person and a Jesus freak ...Dont matter what vehicle .
What matter is takata is the manufacture behind the defective airbags.
There are many many cases related to severe injuries and deaths you are not aware.
take care, God Bless America!

Yes there is driver side recall. When my 1st CL was totaled the crappy airbags never even deployed and it was pretty serious crash. Good reason to ditch these cars if you care about your safety.

There's no recall on the passenger side because they were able to check the VIN and determine that it's not part of the recalled bunch.
The airbags aren't being recalled because all of them are bad. It's because a very very small number of the millions recalled are bad. The problem is that the manufacturer didn't keep track of each batch properly so they have no way of knowing where that bad batch ended up. Your chance of the airbag being truly bad is less than winning the lottery. Even then you have a better chance of dying on a plane flight or being struck by lightning.
