Dang, just a little fun with a 335i

Almost got me a run with a 335i . . . we were just messing around and after several lights we finally get one head-to-head and I wait to see if he'll jump . . . we'll he does and I'm ready. From about 20mph to 50mph we stay dead even, but he lets off right as it appears that I'm starting to ever so slightly pull on him. So was he worried about getting beat or didn't want to go much over 50mph in a 40mph zone . . . meh, good call as it wasn't the best road for anything over 60mph. While not a real allout race, it does get me even more excited about getting in to something more serious with a 335i.

Ruf

PS: no Cividriver . . no word yet on the mounts, but Excelerate did say he too was told the next set of test mounts are ready . . . I'm waiting . .

Was it a stock 335i? What's your setup?

Id count it. Nice kill. Id love to line up with a 135/335.

Ive been looking at 135/335 for my next car, but I have to say Im not entirely impressed. For the cost associated, it makes much more sense to keep the CL and pickup a used Elise. They go for ~$30k.

Yeah, I'd agree. I looked at getting a nice 3 series and just couldn't justify the extra $12-$15k for a better handling car . . . but where I live there's no place to appreciate that part of the car, so I traded the TL for a TLS . . other than the tranny and the motor mounts, I've been pretty happy.

I'm guessing it was stock . . a modded 335i should beat me even with a poor driver. As for my setup, here's what I have currently, but a few more mods are planned within the next couple of months or so.

It should be noted that RUF's car is a bit of a factor freak.

My wife has a new 328 and the drive by wire throttle drives me nuts. There is a turbo like lag that is maddening for a $48K car. My son drives my CL and agrees with me that the Acura is a much more satisfying ride...
