damn valet boys...

I am spending two weeks in San Fran because of work... I went to the SF City last night walking in the street, and I saw this valet boy stepped into a brand new black bimmer 540i parked infront of this fancy club... he turned into a narrow passageway... as I was admiring the car with my frends, the valet pushed the petal to the metal, vrrroooom, with the loud revving, the car pratically zipped thru with inches of gap within the walls on the side, and few seond later, we heard a loud screech, the bimmer also had a side head-on with across traffic on the other end of the passageway...

boy, what can I, i would never give my car to a valet...

Man, i say the same thing to everyone that i go out with. I will never let anyone drive my car when i am not in it. NO way jose> I will walk a extra 100 feet, an dextra half mile but aint no wayt that no snotty punk nose kid who makes 2 buvks a hour and gets tips is goin to A) thrash my car up, B) rip up my tires and C) possible crash it like the bimmer in the post.
if u have any thoughts about valet parkin and were ever concerned, do be, casue they all love to play with hot cars and race them while u party.
GOOD luck, and remeber, never trust a kid with a jacket that says valet!!!

I have never ever let a valet park my car. They never tell you that basically they have no insurance coverage for damage to your ride. During college, playing gigs to make a living, I saw too many leadfoot drivers at expensive hotels to ever let a gas monkey like that drive my car..........I'll walk further.

i gotta valet the car sometimes. i hate goin to a club and finding parking. i'd much rather have it in front when i get out, but i do make sure everything is in my car before i get in to tip or pay and always walk around it. i make sure beforehand how the valets are driving the cars

thanks man! yeah, I love sf city... espeically the hilly streets, but i was expecting more of luxury performace cars here, but on the contrary, I didn''t see many, only saw one black cls zipping me by close to chinatown that night. hmmm... i saw more in NY... maybe I was in the wrong section of the town.

On the matter of valet, i wish car manufacturers implement a Valet button, which upon depressed, it will lock the rev meter to below 3000, and the gas petal, and limit the speed to 30 mph... hehehe...

Someone told me once that the Corvettes will only run on one bank of cylinders when the valet switch is turned on. I have no idea if that is true, but it sounds like a great feature.

I let a valet park my '98 ///M3 at Woodfield mall here close to Chicago because I couldn't find any parking myself. This guy was an older guy so I thought, "ok this guy knows how to handle these cars" and let him take it. Gave him a $5 tip and he drives off slowly. I am so close to the entrance when I hear a car revving its engine and completely opening up, guess what?!? That was my car! This idiot didn't have the common sense to think that the parking lot is completely full and there is traffic everywhere. I ran after him and then took his sorry dumb ass to his manager to complain. After that, never saw him again =). Complain about those bastards whenever something like this happens to you!
