Damn..... unlucky times for me...

Yesterday morning I left my friends house to go to Santa Rosa.
As I was passing a light in the mid-lane I got into a pretty whole in the asphalt with my left front wheel !!!!!!!!!!
So I drive another few miles down the road in the city and then I notice that something is wrong...
I get out of the car and HOLLY SHIT ! My left front tire blew up!
I put the spare on and headed towards nearest tire shop hoping that everything will be fixed within few hours. BUT NO!
The guy at the shop told me that these are special edition, brand new, low profile tires (stock CLS tires) and they don't have them, and neither the Michelline does (he talk to them over the phone). He said that he could temporarely replace it with Goodyear ...but that would take another day to get the tire from werehouse...
Am I the only one in the black lane of life?

What's the stock size for the 01 cl's?

I remember the first time I got a flat, a month or two after getting my car. No one had the tires yet, but I finally found one place that could special order them. $150 each tire, but I got it fixed the next day.

Did you check with the supplemental manual on the Michelin MXM4s that came with the car?

I wonder if the type of damage you suffered would be covered under warrantee...

I thought one of the members did get a tire at one of the "chain" stores like "Discount Tire" etc *and* purchased one of their hazard damage/warrantee packages.

I too, had an unlucky encounter with some road debris. One of my front tires blew out. All the tire stores that I called had to special order the tire. The places with the best prices were discount tire/america's tire and tire rack. They were both around 150.

My friend says they cost about $170...his cost at Firestone. He said that you're better off getting something better...PS2s are nice...seeing as how you want to pay so much for a crap tire.

ouch, i have to garee with Raleigh.. sort os an annoyance but it may be worth investing in one sparte tire - normal size.. the downside is then you sit w/ a uselss tire - and what happens if you decide to go another route w/ tires.... the humanity of it all...
