most modded cl-s would be in the 13's if only we had traction. the 60's ft is what kills our time.

I saw that guy that night. The slicks were fucking huge. They weren't like little 22" slicks they were like huge RWD slicks mounted to RX-7 wheels.

He got a 2.0 60' with them. If I could manage a 2.0 60', and the weather was colder, I'd be faster than 13.9 @ 99... Probably 13.85 @ 101

That's pretty quick for the Accord

That's pretty impressive... his mph indicates he is putting down about 240-250whp which is darn good!! Getting it to 13.5x with just exhaust... uh, that's going to be tough!

would that mean that the new accord is about the same speed as a 6 speed cl-s, i think with slicks and an intake there are a few drivers around here that can drive a cl-s to 13.8@101

With a 2.078 60' I'd be probably 13.8's or so. Is an intake worth any significant ET or MPH on the CL-S6? Thats pretty quick either way.

No f'in way I'd trust this drivetrain to a 5.5k clutch dump on slicks. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but that seems like ALOT to ask of the stock clutch & axles.

The Icebox gave me an extra 2-3 MPH and 2-3 10ths off my ET.

wouldn't that equate to over 20hp for the icebox?

I ran 14.8 @ 91.5 stock (best time)

I ran 14.5 @ 95 with Icebox (best time)

Above 95 MPH 10 hp = 1 tenth (Approximately) Below 95 MPH I don't know

but that doesn't take into acct the conditions that you ran under both times. When I dyno'd my intake it was good for 8 whp @ peak. It probably averaged a ~5 hp gain. I would have a hard time believing that any intake is going to perform way above that. not trying to be a jerk but there are some many variables at the track that I don't believe there's enough data to support that claim.

Fair enough... but the runs were only a week from each other, both with 2.2 60's and similar temps in the 70s

Remember, on the track you are actually accelerating and the air entering the intake is much greater since you are traveling at speed.

On the dyno a fan or two blowing air at 10-20 mph won't have the same affect on the power increase.

Who knows... probably not enough to justify the cost. $250 is better spend elsewhere

It's more than a CAI though. It's not just a pipe with a filter on it like the AEM. The materials and multiple parts that make up the Icebox shows why it is about $100 more than the alternatives.

I agree. On CT's website they claim 14whp/13wtq from the Icebox, and it shows gains at all rpms, not just at 5k+ like headers. I just dont like the way it looks. If I'm paying $250 for an intake I want it to bling.

I'm with you on that one.....I didn't launch my car as hard as I could have on the DR's to show some mercy on the drivetrain.
