Crazy Shipping on Rotoras!!Toronto Anyone.

I almost ordered Rotora slotted/drilled Rotors from www.performancecenter.com. At checkout when I indicated Toronto it gave me a shipping price of $154.I called these guys and verified and same answer.
My question is:
Is there anyone on this Forum who has ordered Rotors from US shipped to Canada?I would appreciate if someone can give me a ballpark figure of shipping costs.
I'm pulling my hair right now!!

Checkout the same thing at a different store in the U.S. and see what the shipping comes to there.

There are variables,I mean customs, brokerage, taxes etc..
So it can vary.

We can ship rotors out to you for a much cheaper price. You can verify w/a board member named berny. We shipped a complete package of rotora stuff for a very reasonable price.

I do a lot of shipping, I know it doesn't cost that much to ship there. The problem is that we have to declare the cost of the product and we can get burn if customer don't want to pay for Canada high duty tax. The shipper will then have to pay for it. I think part of the $154 is to cover the duty tax, just incase.

I live in Ajax just 20min east of T.O. I have the same concerns as you. I have to change the rear brakes on my 01 CL-s but don't know where to go or what to buy. Canadian CL-s owners, please show me some love and give me the advice I need. Thanx

If they use UPS...that's the problem. Get a quote from FedEx Ground, should be a lot cheaper.

And FWIW, Customs doesn't add anything of notice to the cost, from my shipments to Canada.

Best bet would check out performance shops in GTA ... (Pacific Mall, Speedtech, etc). Babyblue has a nice tricked out CL-S... so he knows where to get stuff.

If you're in a pinch -- get the vendor to send via US Postal Service (USPS) -- their brokerage fees are A LOT LESS than UPS (I've bought stuff from the States before). Now I just get friends who work in the States bring it in for me (I live right across from Detroit, MI)
