Crashed my car AGAIN coming back from Park Ave Acura!!

Yes again, and NO i was not under the influence of anything. I was comming back from Park Ave Acura on RT17 S. I was in the right lane when a U-Haul truck get in the lane where i am at sideswipping me resulting in me to swerve off the road over anouther curb and into a ditch! all the rims are badly scratched up , the 3 tires blew, and my driverside door is scratche from the handle back, and my rearview mirror was taken off... I did not get the truck # or the license plate # and the A$$hole didnt even stop, just kept going!! I called u haul and they were no help unless i had the #? WTF my fuc^ing luck..Always..I DONT DESERVE THIS CAR.. So i got it towed to Mazzolies, cuz they work with my insurance people and i am getting a rent a car tommorrow. Now I am deffinatly getting new tires the mxm whatever suck, so what tires should i get. Where can i buy type-s rims online hopefully cheaper. I have a 500 deductable but hopefully the body shop will hook me up. Sorry for the long story im just pissed cuz my car is never 100%.
If the bumper is fixed , then there is a bubble in the tire, if the tire is fixed then some dickhead runs me off the road!!

DAM!!! I dont think it will be ready by the meet at Park Ave, but i will most likely still be there!

Think of this as a way to get some new stuff for the car...a lot of aftermarket items are cheaper than OEM...RIMS...TIRES....you can even get one of those funky colors if you want..maybe upgrade your suspension...all sorts of stuff...sorry to hear about it though...

Tell U-Haul to be on the look-out for scapes of whatever color your car was. Call the police. Let them work for a living. It doesn't matter... get the cops involved. U-haul might be more cooperative.

Dude - U-Haul can and will help. Take the other guys advice, get the cops involved. You have to file a report. Without the police report you have nothing. You have to document the accident even if it's just to show that you were not the cause of it. If you don't everyone including your insurance company will just think it was a single car accident, it may affect your premium.

There are lots of tires to get for the CL. Three popular performance tires that a lot of members seem to be going for are:

1) Bridgestone Potenza RE730
2) Toyo T-1S Proxies
3) Nitto NT555 (may have been discontinued???)

I myself will be getting the Bridgestones as they are a lil cheaper than the Toyos.

I can't believe no one stopped or at least got a license plate number on one of the busiest roads in North Jersey.

Here's a bit of trivia, the Rt 17 and Rt 4 intersection is one of the top 10 for traffice volume in the country.

Damn, Matt, sorry to hear about it. How much damage do you think the car sustained? Is it fixable or totalled? I'm hoping for the latter. If you do end up repairing it and getting tires and rims, go for the Bridgestone RE730 Potenza's. I saw them on JZ's car and I liked 'em. That'll be my next replacement set if I keep the car. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Stoned- sorry to hear man. I thought I would hear how your ride was an S again with the actuator fixed. Mazzola's gets their parts from us, so we will see what we can do to make sure things go as quickly as possible.
You still have to come to the meet- just park that Malibu down the stree!

I know how much we like our cars, but cars can be fixed, repaired, or replaced. Body parts on the other hand can not. Sounds like you did not sustain any bodily injuries which is the most important of all.

Oh Man! That sucks! Well like the old saying goes "WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS". Don't feel too bad, about a year ago this dumb-ass lady tailgating me on the freeway, next thing you know traffic stops and she doesn’t, so i get about $1500 in damages to my 98 3.0 CL. I go through the problems of having that fixed, but! Just my luck, within a week of having the car repaired I’m driving home and this drunken shmuck pulls out in front of me "TOTALING THE CAR". Mind you I just finished installing $1500 worth of upgrades about a week before all this started. Then to mention the problems with insurance company’s “not getting anything for the installed mods” and the time it took from accident to resolution.. Well the rest speaks for its self, and now I’m a proud owner of a 01 white CL-s. I hope this helps , well what I’m trying to say is, it could be worse……

That precisely why I'd be shocked to see anybody stop to help. Driving on Rte 17 is like waiting in the emergency room. It hurts and it takes forever. Most folk just won't stop for anything once they get rolling again. I live a little less than a mile from that Rte 17 and Rte 4 junction (and happily also Park Avenue Acura) and I would move if they ever repeal the blue laws gainst Sunday shopping.

Actually I heard that the 17/4 junction was one of the top 3 most traveled intersects "in the whole world". (spoken like a 28 yr old Mahammud Ali). Now thats a dubious distinction if there ever was.

Rob

Your better off getting 225/45/17 for the stock rim...this is the best size that allows you to go a little wider and the smallest 17 inch size that bridgestone makes for the re730..not sure about the toyos...but probably the same.
