The dealer replaced the bottom section (Only the leather piece NOT the cushion) for free. And it takes about half a day to replace it.

Oh, I am sorry I can't be in for Sunday.

Have fun guys!!

My dealer told me its a "normal tear & wear" regarding streached leather on driver's seat buttom.

Should I go back and complain to fix it??

I got my bottom part of the drivers seat replaced. Just make sure they use the correct cover. They put a CL-P seat on my CL-S. It looked completely stupid! They fixed it though.

Yeah man, they were like "its just streched a little, its not like its going to go bad... its normal after owning a car for 3 years"

My other car is 96 Maxima with leather, the leather is tight(no streching)... what the fuk are they talking about??

I have some sections that are really rough and rigid...maybe I should go talk to them about it.

But how do you get past the comment "its normal wear and tear" I called in before just to inquiry about replace covers and they said its up to the service manager whether they replace it or not.....

I mean you can just go and complain...everyone complains...there has to be a certain statement or something that would make them go ahead and replace it....

I'm thinking that acura of pleasanton should be cool considering their high ratings for service....but I would just like to know what exactly was said to have them go ahead and do it...and if they come out with the 'normal wear and tear' comment, what can you say back to them.....

That's the f'ed up part. It doesn't cost the dealers that much. They're just going to charge the parts and labor back to Acura Corporate. Lazy Dealers !!

do a search for cracked leather ,print some, then go back and tell
them you want to speak to a rep. hopefully he'll see it your way.
They paint the leather with some type of coating that is fairly common to peeling& cracking .

I believe the majority of the people here do that.
I know that for myself, I do it everytime I wash my car, or at least every other time. Cleaner/Conditioner will not prevent, only prolong what is to come. Perhaps with some seats it will happen sooner, thus is the reason behind the replacement...
