Cost to change oil pan?

Ran over a little log and it cracked my oil pan. Brought my car to a pretty reputable shop here and they claim it will cost over $200 just for the labor. Any idea if this is a fair price? I cannot see why it would cost so much.

you might be able to change it yourself, i believe all you have to do is let all the tran oil out, then drop the oil pan. might be that simple. unsure of it. =X

$200 sounds reasonable to me especially if its a reputable shop. If not done right, oil leaks are a pain in the ass. It's not work that I would want to do from underneath.

Wish you the best with the repair. It must have hurt when you hit the log. I know I would have been crying.
