In a 540i 6-speed? Off of what cliff? You won't be able to keep up with the C4 ZR-1, or any C5...especially the Z06. Quickest 0-60mph time for the 6-speed 540i I've seen is 5.5 seconds..."base" 350HP C5 does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds.

But whatever, they're morons anyhow. Looks like they needed a self esteem booster, glad they got it.

OK, your hauling around about 400+lbs over a C5 & the
C5 has more displacement, Horsepower&Torque!

'99 540i 282hp 324lb-ft

'97-'00 C5 345hp 350lb-ft

'01-'02 C5 350hp 375lb-ft

Explain to me again how a C5 will "lose like there's no tomorrow" ?

You'd need an M5 to take on a Z06

That thread is the funniest thing I have read in a long time!
---------

a E46 M3 will take your 540I

and a vette will be much faster than your car... especially since these are your mods....

this 540i will take a vette.

Don't get me wrong you have a nice car, but you don't have a lot of power mods.

Might want to shorten your signature (rotating pictures) or something. Takes awhile to scroll through it. And might want to take some pics of your car. All of those pics are from the hamann site & others...

*Current Mods*
Momo Shift Knob-Cobra Aluminum with Briarwood
Hamann Design PG3
Hamann Exhaust System

Yeah, the only thing it was missing was a set of wings...

I also noticed that the "Hornet" jocks weren't impressed (I guess to much time pulling 9-g at 500 knots)

"FIRST CIVILIAN F-16, F-18 GO UP FOR SALE

A warbird restoration company in Kansas got an interesting windfall recently when it was able to purchase an F-16 and F-18. Even better, when the paint was pealed back on the F-18, restorers discovered it was Blue Angel blue. The jets add to the inventory of 26 other military jets for Air Capitol Warbirds LLC of Wichita, Kansas, and Fulcrum Inc. of Ontario, Canada. But there’s a lot of work to be done before either one flies. Because both planes were demilitarized by the federal government, the F-18 arrived without wings or instruments. But company officials said Tuesday that they have been able to locate all the parts needed for the restoration and expect to have the F-18 flying by the end of the year. The F-16, however, may take two years of work to restore. The jets will be fully functional, minus the weapons systems. A civilian has already put down a $100,000 deposit to hold the F-16, and a similar arrangement is available for the F-18. Company officials said insurance will, no doubt, be expensive. For more information, see the Web site ( http://www.airwarbirds.com ).

Any takers from around here?

You should spend some $$ on Dinan parts.
Chip or something.
Does Dinan make ring & pinions ?

i think the point is, even if it has a rocket booster from the space shuttle strapped on it, and can beat any car on the planet, its still a CIVIC !

and i think that is my point too- its still a civic and just b/c its a civic doesnt mean it doesnt have a built b16 and run 13.1 in 1/4. i love american cars and imports just i am sick of domestics acting like a civc or a accord or even a cl for that matter is beneth them. mean i hate rice boys (they give the real import scene a bad name) too -but every civic isnt ricey again this is all my opinon and as you can tell is something i am very passionate about.
and also why i am in the process of building a sr20det powerd fully built 91 240 sx- it will have no kit no wing just some volk le37's and about 450-550 hp at the wheels

I just started looking into the Aprilia motorcyles. What do you think of yours?

I'm a big buell/harley/triumph/moto guzzi/custom chopper kinda guy. Personally I'm sick of seeing all of the no personality Yamaha R1's, GSXR 11000, Suzuki motor cycles... and so on... Dime a dozen... <yawn> Speed isn't everything after you have been riding for many years...

Nice to see someone with some unique taste I've been reading a lot about them lately. nice bikes!

Light, agile, awesome power to weight ratio!

I LOVE IT! - gobs of torque, smooth, handles like a dream, and compression braking - i haven't found anything to dislike, plus nobody knows what it is. it turns heads, pulls so hard out of corners, much more tractable than a inline or v4, power starts right off idle all the way up to redline, plus the sound of a v-twin, ......magnifico

plus i have free pick up and delivery (enclosed trailer) when i need service

MV AGUSTA (agoosta`) - very nice, but pricey, 17,000 rpm redline but a 750cc for $18,000 - the senna models are going for anywhere up to $10,000 over sticker i think they start at $27,000 very exotic

i truly believe the Aprilia is a very good bang for the buck exotic

It's definitely my style of bike, going by looks. I just wish it had a flip-up license plate holder so you could flip it up when you're gonna street race.

Btw, watch out for Supras.

Very nice bike!!!

I agree on the V-twin VS. inline 4 or V-4.
The Ducati's have proven that. Not as peaky!

Only reason I mention the MV Agusta is a buddy at work
has one. I admire it weekly. He has that & an older VFR.
He's a real bike nut. He has about 6 different track schools
under his belt on his bike. I know he's seen 160mph+ on the
MV at the track.

I admire them but I'm too much of a wuss.
I need a Z06

There is only a few cars that will take your bike. You'd have to run into a BPU+++ supra (or a nice single turbo Supra, either way unless s/he has a 100 shot you'll take them off the line). There out there, but not an over abundance of them.

yes he did, but there just talkin, clk430's are fast, but alot of cars are faster, but there is something about them, same with the vette. no mystique or oooh and ahhh factor with a civic - however i think a civic is a great car for what it is. but its still just a civic

When you're on a highway there is no "stop" to run from.

And all I gotta say is stay away from Houston.
