Converting '03 heated seats to '01
The reason why I am asking is because of the level of heat options in the '01. But people have told me that it is more than just replacing the '03 heated seat switch with a '01. Some have said that the heated seat is controled by the computer. Question: which computer?
If anyone knows how I could convert the '01 heated seat switch to an '03 plz let me know.

I'm not sure what CPU exactly controls it... but this has been discussed before and it was determined it would be kind of costly. You would need new switches (which probably aren't much), but the module which controls the 2-way function would be the majority of the cost.... whether it's just a module or you a whole unit... I don't know.... maybe someone with a HELMS for a 2001 can help.....

What changed with the heated seats for 03? I think I remember the 6speed has them set up differently because of how the entire center console area has changed to accomodate the shifter (and that shitty cupholder you guys got hehe).

Compared to the '01, the '01 have dual stage heating, low/high/off. Rather than the '03 which are high/off.

When I turn my seats on they get very warm, then cool off a little but stay warm.
I have always assumed that was the way they were supposed to work.

Yea u and some others may think that it is a waste of money but look at some people already they hate to live with only High/Off.
