Comptech Update

I finally got ahold of comptech today. The guy i talked to said there in the process of moving to a new location. He said they will start taking orders for parts in about a week, with most parts availible in 4-6 weeks. From what ive heard nobody has been able to get ahold of them, so i just thought id post a little update

Good news...last I heard they weren't answering/returning phone calls. This comes at a good time as I am thinking about upgrading to comptech headers.

Thats good, they owe me some $ from my icebox upper and lower lid warranty replacement that they haven't refunded yet. I also want to get the TL an icebox, so hopefully they will start making those for the 04+ soon.

Current and former employees purchased Comptech USA from the initial investors. Comptech Machine was sold off separately.

I have that same problem with my icebox. . . bottom screw got stripped and kept spinning so I hadda rip the lid off with force which resulted in damaging it, and the screw is still in the bottom portion of the box. I have called comptech numerous times since it's happened and never got an answer or even a call back. They better fix it for me, I hate driving my car knowing somethings broke. . . .

I emailed them about it sometime around December, sent them an online copy of my reciept of my icebox purchase as requested and the deal was that I would purchase the parts but get a full refund when I return the damaged lids. Sent it to them right after I finally got the lids which was sometime in mid January (maybe later) and I shipped it back to them by UPS two days later with some sort of signature confirmation that they recieved it. Still no refund, but I'll get it when they get their act back together, $120 is 12 hours of work for me so they better bet their ass I'm going to get that money back.

Atleast the new icebox doesn't have the screw problem.

Comptech Ice Box is AVAILIBLE

Well next week. I just placed my order for my 6 speed CL! So they are taking orders and will be shipping late next week he said barring any unforseen mishaps. They said the headers will be about a month out...but they are for sure making them again. He also said the supercharger will only be made for about another 6 months for the cl,tl and accord so if you want one you better get one now!

Tell me about it, i bought my ripoff cheaply made icebox about a year and a half ago and can't find my receipt.

I have called numerous times months ago and nate just keeps telling me he can't do anything without a receipt even though he is aware of the screw stripping problem.

If that isn't bad customer service, I don't know what is. Horrible........

Before I had this experience I was game to buying a SCer but now, I say screw comptech, if they don't look out for their customers. Why should I support them?

The answers simple, I won't
