Coincidence? GTP race....
Add one more GTP race to the win section with everyone else who ran them....
I was just cruising the strip last night around 11pm, spring break, waiting to pick up someone....and I happened to notice a white GTP coupe in front of me with three people in it. I was thinking, "should I do it?." I decided not to until that person makes the first move. I stared into the back window of that car and the back seat passenger looks back and turns back around and talks to the drive. I guess they were amazed by HID's? They slow down and I get into the other lane just wanting to pass them now because I figured we were almost heading towards the highway and the strip turns off at the next redlight. But the driver decides he wants to play. I didn't realise it at first, but when I saw him go for it, I decided to back off because I was still in D. I shift it into "1" and decided to play with the manual gates on this race so I can shift at 7,000-7,100rpms in every gear. He slows down to normal speed, but I speed up to 40mph to catch up. When I get close, I notice his car lurches, I guess he downshifted. We both actually go at the same starting off at some speed below the speed limit, 35mph. He gains and walks through 1st gear, but in second gear I'm at his rear tires and stay there until I get close to redline, were I start to gain and now I'm at his front door. In 3rd gear, I start to walk passing him and now he's at my front door. We're outside of the city right now and In the highway where no one is around but us two racing. I shift to "D5" instead of "D4" and it shifts into 4th gear. Even though it's our crappy gear, I still walk on him until about 130mph, where I lay a big smack down. I think he either backed off or hit his speed limiter.
We both turn off and head back and I stop in at the McDonnalds parking lot were he follows. Turns out the guy was a graduate last year from my school. We had an intelligent conversation, well at least until he he asked me, "What kind of headlights are those? PIAA's." I just said yeah....

Close call and good kill, just watch that guy when he drops his load and gets his $200 mods, he'll get revenge.

It's 126mph. But the modded PCM removes that, it changes shift points and does something with the fuel also but it's $300 and I'm done modding. I dont need to go faster than 126 anyway The 1/4 mile is over between 95-100.
