clutch hitting metal in firewall
Hi, I just had a sub installed and I noticed a clicking sound when I was depressing the clutch...there is a piece of blue metal exposed high up on the firewall and the clutch hits it when fully depressed...could someone take a look at theirs to see if there is supposed to be something covering that. I haven't noticed this before, but I've never looked there before and the matts went up pretty high in winter. I've attached a few pics, the clutch hits the bottom blue part..okay, i tried to add some pics but it keeps on getting rejected saying that maximum size is 1 byte. does neone have pictures of that area of their floor/firewall
Thanks

There's usually a clicking sound that you can hear if your in a garage with the car off and windows down. You know all clutches end up stopping when it's engaged, right?

It turned out that the guy doing the wiring pulled off a gromet that was supposed to cover a bit of the exposed metal...he thought that the gromet was hiding a hole through the firewall so that he could run a wire thru it. He forgot to put the gromet back on, but luckily they hadn't thrown it out and I got it back and no more clicking!
