This sucks, looks like I did one too many powershifts. Hehe, at least now I have an excuse to get a Centerforce clutch along with lightweight flywheel (13s for sure!).

At least you don't have a slushbox :D

Mmmm, the old slipping clutch, I know that well. On mine, it was kind of like a stall converter just hovering the RPMs untill the tranny caught up to the motor RPMs...

Is it REALLY bad, or just when it gets heated up a bit?

Nice choice on the Centerforce. Do they have it available in the Dual Friction variety for your ride. On the Mustangs at least, the Non-DF is HEAVY, but my DF is nice and light.

Centerforce doesn't make a clutch for my car yet, they said its in R&D. Hopefully 1st quarter of 2002. I hope mine lasts that long. Only other place for a heavyduty clutch that I can find is Dinan and those bastards want $3,000 for clutch + lightweight flywheel.

I need more sources. I'm wondering if I can put the M5 clutch on my car since the tranny is the same.

Spiro:

Spanking? I hope not. I hope my clutch isn't that bad. But 2nd gear just won't scream for me anymore. Hopefully at the track, by some magical reason, it gets fixed.

My friend's M5 just got his Clutch replaced under Warranty. Currently he has 12K on his car. Maybe you can get yours replaced under warranty.

Chances are slim to none on that one.

BTW, I won't be able to make it this weekend to the track meet in Indiana guys! Clutch is pretty worthless right now, I got beat by my friend's M3 last night and I'm pretty disappointed. I need to redeem myself by opening a can of whoop-ass on him.

I did beat him the first 2 times Then 3rd time, clutch was fried and gone pretty much for racing. Looking into getting custom clutch made.

No ghetto cars are invited (meaning cars with 19s on em ).

Spiro, sorry bro for not giving you the pleasure of getting the '1-up' on me, but I suppose we'll have to go with timeslips for now. 14.165 @ 99.76MPH for me.

I'm waiting on word if these guys I contacted can get me a custom racing clutch and custom 11lb flywheel made and shipped by mid-next week. If the price is within a reasonable amount, i'll jump on it today. Maybe if I get this whole thing figured out, we can hit Byron next weekend or so.

I think Byron is already closed. The only options that we have left are WI/INDY

Well, from the looks of it, I dont' think i'll be ready this weekend for sure. We might have to set something up for maybe next weekend. Man this whole clutch thing sucks! You guys are lucky you don't have a 6-Speed yet. Also, I wonder if they will make the heavy duty clutches & lightweight flywheels for your cars right away.
