I almost got nabbed on the way home tonight. Or, I should say that I did get nabbed and got off with a verbal warning. I was heading down a pretty major road through a local state forest in North Reading (rt125) and was going maybe 10mph about the speed limit (60mph in a 50mph). I was just cruising along, nothing to prove, just coming back from Boston and happy to be on the way home. A car a few cars back zipped around the car directly behind me and followed me for a while. They didn't try to pass me or act like they wanted to play so I was suspecting that it might be a cop. The road I was on was totally dark, no street lights since it was a state forest. Eventually, after 3 or 4 miles the blue flashing lights come on in the low-profile black cruiser (no light bar) behind me and I pull over. He comes up to the side of the car and is totally cool...
"I know that you have a new car, I could have easily pulled you over before this. I know that you have a nice car. Try going a little slower."...and he walks back to the cruiser. No written warning, no ticket. I was so relieved.
Anyhow, I was sweating it. The cop was very cool. No comments about my window tint (35%/20%). It almost seemed like he really liked the car.
Anyone have a similar experience? Have the cop almost compliment the car as opposed to ticket you?

125 in N. Reading? Didn't state that he was giving a warning or anything? Didn't ask for license/reg? Sure he was a cop, and not some clown out bustin' balls? Anyway, at least no ticket.
I finally got a warning (instead of a ticket like every other time I've been stopped) this summer. NH State Trooper...yeah, that happens every day.

From N. Andover MA myself and there has been a lot of unmarked vehicles on the road. Was going about 85 on 495 s when i saw a black pickup pull someone over. I have seen this vehicle twice in two days.
Do not need the 200 ticket and the insurance surcharge

The speed limit is ridiculous on Rt-128/I-95 and I-495....
The going speed on Rt-128/I-95 averages 75 MPH... and on I-495 is 85MPH+ on Both, at least 20 MPH over!!!
Some daily Commute on I-495 with 100 MPH.

well I was doing 85 on 495 yesterday and a person was tailgating me in a suburban and flashing their lights at me at 7 am. I had no where I could go. I just wasn't fast enough for him.
