close but no cigar
coming home late the other night in my M3, low but behold a electric blue Z06 pulls up next to me, revs his titanium exhaust and I figure what the heck.
I turn off my DSC, engage my sport button and do a perfect launch, I gave myself goose bumps, I got a 2 car length off at the start and held it until about 60 then 1 then 1/2 at around at 90 and then from 100 on he just walked on me, around 120 I shut it down and flashed my high beams and turn off. I thought he's lucky I wasn't in my Mr2, but hey murphy's law, if I was in my Mr2 a 911 gt2 would of pulled up next to me and hey same result.
Sorry guys there is no substitute for cubic inches or raw horsepower, man what a nice car, would love that 2 seater for my track car. but too expensive for now, or should I sell my M3, naaa, M life is a good life and I can do 14's with a full tank of gas, luggage and 4 people in my car.

I have a 6-speed, don't belive you should get a sports car in auto, eventhough the smg is a technical marvel, I believe only .4 tenths of a second slower than a manual.
the regular vette runs 13.4 in the qtr, the z06 does not come in a convertible, it's a close race with a regular vette, I have to be on form to beat him I should run 13.0- 13.3, if the vette is auto though I'll toast him.
The mr2 handles like a dream, but when it's ready to spin watch out, due to the mid-engine config. You have to be careful with boost hitting in too hard while exiting a corner. I run 12.9 in the qtr on 18 psi, will try 22 psi and race gas and see what happens if I get a chance.
