clock lamp out, need to change...need some 411

Hey all, LOOONG time no post. Anyway, my clock lamp is out. The clock still works, just can't see it at night. The lamp is 6.00 or so, the labor is $50.00 so I want to do the job myself. I don't know jack about taking the center panel off to get at the lamp. Any help or instruction you can give me (other than RTFM...cause it's not in the manual) would be appreciated.

BTW, Hey to all the old-timers!

How to take the steering wheel off

Ok, I got the center panel off, but there's not enough room with the steering wheel on it to move the panel enough to replace the clock lamp. (Youhave to take the clock off to insert the $6.00 lamp). ANYWAY....if anyone's taken off or loosened thier steering wheel, I'd be appreciative of you giving me some tips...or better yet, telling me exactly how to do it.
