It's very easy to do. I did mine at 5K miles. It didn't really need it. I'll check every 5K miles, & clean every 10-15K.

It depends on location as well, but i would say check it every oil change and clean it when needed. It should be done at most at 10k miles.

I had heard that you should do it every oil change. I did mine after about 7K miles and there was stuff to clean off but I can't imagine that it was a problem as far as power gain (that being 0-10hp?). My K&N in my Prelude held up longer...30K? and there was a thread earlier with people replacing the foam filter with a K&N. As ghey as it sounds, even if it is only 5hp, I'd be curious if the way CT gets the hp is through a really cheap filter that neads to be cleaned a lot.

Oil changes...slyraskal...do you change your oil every 7500 or every 3500? Is it just me (and kinda the manual) or are cars not needing an oil change until 7500 miles now? Since there was noticable build up (just kinda smudged really) at 7000 miles I was wondering if we are cleaning at the same milaege or if you change your oil a lot. Depends on how and where you drive admittedly....but maybe I could wait longer? Or you shouldn't wait as long?
