CL w/ TL rear skirt - less prep & paint

Rear skirt is complete, except for prep & paint...
IMO, it wraps the CL round butt pretty damn well, a tad bit hard to do...

Cut in 3 pieces, fab extensions, cuts to allow to wrap well, fab lots of new mounting points...

Didn't take pics of whole car yet cause the side skirts were off for prepping... I'll just wait till next week when the car is completely done.

No I don't mind, I posted what work are involved/required
to get the TL kits to fit the CL... So for out of state guys or anyone else, they're very welcome to take it to their own body shops...

Dont' be suprise that some shops may reject the project or may charge U tons for custom work... Good luck.

Cool..just checking. Cuz if you seriously minded, I'd respect that. I'm pretty sure my body shop will do whatever it takes cuz we're pretty tight. I mean, they were willing to make Legend coupes into convertibles and Lambo doors on riced out civics. For a while I had them research how to make out back window's rolld down like in legends..but I didnt want to spend the money on that. If they reject me I'll just nag them until they can't take it anymore

Thanks...

When I started this project, it was very important not to "rice" out my car, make sure the kit flowed well w/ the CL's fluid body lines, be aggressive, clean, & classy...

I think I've achieved that, I hope cause if I didn't, I just fawked up a 30K nice touring car and threw away a chunk of $.

Now, just waiting for next week until the paint process is complete

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hats off to you and your body shop!!!!!! Don't worry, the car still looks classy!!!!! No rice at all!!! The only thing I noticed from ALL the pics, is that you might need to extend your exhaust tips. Other than that, I think all the hard work and effort has paid off so far!!!!! I can't wait to see it when it is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, somebody from Acura should really be shown the finished product. It looks fabulous, and after seeing it how could they not release a body kit for the CL?

It's not like Acura doesn't know that the CL looks much better w/ a clean, aggressive kit... They do know, and they made 1 a while back, the SEMA CL. It's just stupid for them not to offer the consumers a SEMA kit or a similar TL kit from the beginning

What an opportunity lost
