CL-S w/ 18" BBS RK's

I finally got some pictures that I could post of my silver CL-S with 18" BBS RK's. Let me know what you guys think. I know...I really need to install springs and sways to get rid of the monster truck look. That will come soon. In the meantime I posted a pic of a black CL-S with the same wheels that has had the suspension treatment (as well as just about everything else comptech makes).

The RK's look good. Which tires did you pick? How do you feel about the ride on the street with your 40's? I guess it can't be that bad if your thinking about springs, too.

I like the black CL-S. Did he use 18-40/225's
or 18-45/225s? The side walls look a little thicker.

Looks like Toyo's Proxies FZ4's??? And if they are, how are they! Looks great though, and getting some comptech springs will really complete your car!

I didn't notice any difference in ride quality except that running over the "bots dots" in the middle of the road is actually *smoother* than stock. I can't explain that one!!

The difference in handling and responsiveness is amazing. I have the Bridgestone RE730's (225/40). The black CL-S has the same size in a Yokohama AVS

twhitted, I notice you have a number shoe polished in on your car with the new wheels, did you autocross recently? I was at the Jan. 28th run, did horribly, tho it was my first time. I ran in the morning, so I could be back in time for the Super bowl. I'll be at the Feb. 18th one, as well. If you did race with them, how did it feel compared to stock, any noticeable difference?

Those shoe polish numbers are from running at sears point last weekend. After racing on the track all day long (for my first time), autocross isn't going to be as fun anymore...

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the Jan 28 autocross and will be autocrossing down in monterey on Feb 17-18. I haven't autocrossed on the new wheels and tires yet so I can't compare stock versus modified but on the track, they were nothing short of amazing. It was scary how fast I could take the corners while constantly reminding myself "don't lift off the gas midcorner", and "definitely DON'T HIT THE BRAKES". Getting sideways at 100 mph is not something I wanted to experiment with.

And to think the guy in the black CL-S with comptech springs, sways, headers, exhaust, brakes, etc was posting times 7 seconds faster than me just goes to show what the mods will do for you in addition to looks.
