CL-S vs. Z71
This guy at my school thinks his '95 Silvarado Z71 can beat my '03 CL-S. He has a lift with large mud tires, I am stock but soon getting intake and headers. Is it an easy win? Oh, he is racing my friends '07 Mustang GT tomorrow.

Well wait to see how he does against the stang. If the Z71 wins or looses by 1 or 2 cars then he will beat you. The 95 Silverado only had 210 hp stock. So unless he is modded big time you should win. But see how he does against the mustang first. An 07 Stang is about 2 sec quicker to 60 than a stock 03 CL-S auto.

95 Silvy is a Pre Vortec motor and a pile of ****** Well you get the idea.
You should be able to smoke him if it's stock. Even if it's modded, it better be very well modded to beat you. I sank about $4000.00 into my 98 Vortec 350 motor in my Tahoe and it still would loose to my CLS.
You should be fine.
Maybe his run-in with the GT will humble him up.

Their no joke. My friend has one of the 24 valve High Output Cummins, with stage 10 equipment. He dynoed 786 WHP and 1023 WTQ. at 6k foot elevation. BEASTS!!
I'de be carfull about racing any turbo diesel!
I've raced a F250 Power Stroke with a 300HP Volvo and lost by about 20 cars. That was from 20 MPH to about a 105.

Yep, they are actually heavier than the standards cause they also get heavy ass skid plates in addition to that suspension.

After several times of getting his redneck ego crushed in front of his cornball friends on the passenger side he finally backed way off.

By the way, yes, I beat him bloody with my bone stock CL-S, which isn't saying much considering the Z71 is limited at 110mph. Still, even if that truck wasn't limited I would estimate it would only get up to about 125 tops.

I thought it was bad with the ricers in S. Florida! I just roll up the windows and ignore them, mainly because it's a waste of gas and the place is crawling with LEO's. However, I must say that some of them get of the line rather quick.
