CL-S v.s. Fusion
CL-S v.s. Fusion
As long as I've had this car I know what it can do. I know who I can and cannot beat. So, I'm just chillin' right?
I'm minding my own business and I spot this dude zipping through traffic trying to catch up to me. How did I know he was racing up to me? Because I kinda punched it two lights back. I wasn't racing anybody. I just like to hear her grunt every now and then.
Dude just about activates his airbags he slams his breaks so hard when we both came to the red light. Red light turns green and I take off modestly. Dude is leaned all the way back in his car trying to style n' shit. Please.
All of a sudden he punches it--mind you I'm still in 2nd gear.
I punch it to the end of 2nd and sport shift up to 3rd. About midway of 3rd gear this dude is wide open while I'm still climbing up 3rd. He's about 3 car lengths behind me by the time I shift up to fourth. We come to a curve and he hits his breaks because he has no skill to enter the curve. I slip through the curve and leave him 10 car lengths behind. At the next red light I'm already waiting as he's about to break his neck again trying to stop.
I couldn't tell what model it was. You know they offer several different models of the Fusion--peice of garbage. But I could tell by the way his car gave up he was prolly pushing a V6. But the car still had the dealer tag on the back. That's about the 4th guy that's tried to race me in a new car and got their feelings hurt before they made the first scheduled payment.

Haha nice. I bet it was the 3.0L (240 HP). He probably thought he was hot stuff going in for a kill on some poor luxury car. It's still a family sedan so even if he had managed to pull ahead you probably would have still lost him at the curve with your (most likely) better suspension.
I had these 2 kids roll up to me in their chevy cavalier the other day on US-1 north in NJ. They kept hitting it to egg me on. Was with the wife and let them get a nice launch off the line while I cruised and easily blew passed them at 85 and after that they couldnt keep up, even though I was only doing 100 in my '99 3.0 CL.

. . . that was funny . . . and I like it as well when someone doesn't take us in the turns.
