ARE THE CL-PREMIUMS FAST?
HOW FAST ARE THE 2001 CL-PREMIUMS COMPARED TO A 2001 CL-TYPE-S QUARTER MILE??? WOULD A CL-PREMIUM STILL BE ABLE TO BEAT ALL THE CARS A TYPE-S WOULD? LIKE A IS300 OR A PRELUDE???

It's fast, but wouldn't be able to beat all the cars that the cl-s would beat. I think with the right parts on it, it would be able to compeat with a stock cl-s, otherwise, it wouldn't stand a chance. Basically if you can get the cl-s get the cl-s. Just my .02

well, as an owner of one, i must say its not a total performer.
2nd gear redlines at 60mph and 3rd gear can only take up to 90.
i've taken on Preludes with I/H/E's and the torque of the CL-P seems to be what gives the advantage from a standing start. I've never tried a rolling start though, and quite honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if the outcome comes out differently...
other cars such as eclipse GT V6's and the 4 cyl models don't seem to be a problem...
A4's are pathetic....
323's don't seem to be hard either...
IS300's are really dope cars and all, but honestly, even with my premium, i wouldn't be scared to take one on...
and as for a type-S, i got beat severely by one on the freeway!!! haha
it was quite loud though... so i definitely suspect mods...
bottom line is, if anyone considers a CL, and they're more performance minded, get the Type-S! i'd say that what i like most about my Cl-P is the engine noise... with the lower compression, it is very very quiet inside.
