Thanks for the info folks.....reason I'm asking is my oldman cancelled his order for an E500 (all the bells & whistles), and put a deposit on an incoming S-Type R, platinum/charcoal with Nav. No manual cars being considered, if the E55 was out now that would be a no brainer.
I did a poll on another board and 27 preferred the Benz and 11 the Jag.
Decisons.....unfortunately, the 2003 S600 with the Twin Turbo V12 500hp is out of the question
Appreciated the feedback.

My friend leases a Jag with $1.1 K monthly payment. But we both feel it worths every penny.
400HP, supercharged, and........... 6 speed Auto.
But Jag's depreciation sucks, that's why it costs over $1000 to lease this monster.

A loaded E500 won't be much cheaper, because they will bang you on the interest rate (at least for the first 6 months to a year).

I really don't trust Jag that much after my friends dad owned one. It just seemed like it was always in the shop so he traded it after 1 year. That was 5 years ago, so things may have changed, however the stereotype is still out there that they require a lot of maintenance!

ALi G in the House!
i'd take the jag only ig they promise that it's not gunna need maintenance every 10 miles you drive it (like the older ones) so i'd have to go with the MB..
and plus, in beverly hills, there's a playboy photoshoot place right on top of the dealership in BH...ill take pics next time i get over there
