I had a guy I used to work with....the only thing he had on his CL-S was Comptech Springs, and he was able to chirp 2nd all the time. He wouldnt use SS or gate shifting, just full throttle and he was able to chirp 2nd and kick on the VSA light momentarily! Maybe with springs, and less weight shifting front to rear its more possible?

When my car was stock (stock tires too) the car would always chirp. Replace the stock rubber, no chirps.
Hell, even with the S/C'er the shift doesn't cause the tires to bark (that is of course if I have traction in 1st gear.

i remember my first tranny would chirp. however, chirping should not always be associated with power, especially if you are stock!
i am guessing you are on the original tranny, which ive noticed isnt as smooth at shifting at redline, hence the chirp.
change your tires to perf. tires or get a new tranny

If your chirps now headers should make it chrip more. I think you get another 5-8hp at 5K rpm.

depends on conditions.
if you want stop breaking tires loose 1-2, install plus size, softer compound tires.wot runs on fresh asphalt in mid summer.
if you think chirping is fulfilling, leave the factory stock tires on, turn VSA off,wot runs on same pavement in fall or spring (the more you break loose, the less soft compund is left , the more you chirp, the sooner you replace, the dumber you appear, the more broke you get)
oh and to your ? headers help increase hp at the wheels, so... all else being equal, wot runs=more wheel spin.

I hate the way the stock tires squeal like a pig. I can get them to chirp on the 3-4 shift if I powershift
With the dr's there is no squeal at all, even with 3k clutch dumps, just lots of wheelhop.

Chirping isnt good man. It's a sign of losing traction and you don't want to lose traction. It's better not to chirp but i guess it does sound cool and fun to do it. But im assuming your car is m/t so you should be able to chirp whenever you want. I believe all stick cars that arent AWD can chirp 1-2.
