Yeah, me too. However, the chirp is surface dependant. On an asphalt road with a rough texture I don't get the chirp. I get a shift that slams you to the back of he seat.

Hmmm... I was wondering if my tranny was just weird, or if that's a common thing with the car. When I floor it, and it goes into second, it kind of jerks you a bit. Is that what you're referring to?

Me too! I always love chirpin' 2nd--although yes, it is surface dependent and I assume tire pressure dependent

Yup... it chips about 90% of the time.. and I'm not that heavily modified. Even with the new tires it still chirps, which surprised me. It doesn't do it as much with the new tires, but still does it....

No, I wasn't referring to a down shift. I mean when the throttle is floored and I take first gear to redline the shift to 2nd chirps. Again, depending on the road surface.

When I got the pulleys/intake setup i always chirped 2nd. Then i examined the tires and they were way below the 42psi rating. Once I put my tires back to the proper level, I don't chirp as often. I think it really has to due with the tires more than the surface texture of the road.

Was 42 psi a typo? My tire placard says 32 psi max??
