What often seems to good to be true, turn out to be.
|
Those are like melted or something.
|
what did u expect from someone who has obx headers and is always blasting comptech 4 their prices??? U know he's a bargain hunter.....:P
|
the tread on those remind me of F1 tires
no way there is 75% left |
They were used at the track!!!!!!!
If there was 70% tread still on them, he could use them at the track again. 45 minutes of racing at any track will tear up most any tires. |
baehae :) Man jim your are one in a million. ANYTHING to save a buck. I've got some TP that about 25% used.........

Those Toyo T1S are used in the Speedvision GT and Touring series. All of the tires (Toyo T1S) are shaved to have very little tread (this helps reduce squirm and assist handling). They are only intended to be used for a couple of dozen laps.
IMO, even if they had never been mounted on a car (at the track), they would NOT be worth the $$$ for balance and mounting. They are only going to last a few thousand miles at the most. To "represent" the tires has having 70% of the original tread can be rather misleading (the statement/claim could be true "as-is"). Since they are shaved to somewhere around 4/32 of an inch, 70% of 4/32 is close to 3/32" of tread depth  ) There was a "feature" on the Toyo T1S shaving, etc a year ago on the Speed channel... Take a close look at the tread depth in those pictures. The tread is almost down to the wear bars... If that's all you expect from them and aren’t going to get into water -- Enjoy... |

Hey jim, you want my stock tires that are coming off saturday? I think they have like 10-15% of the tread left on them. if you pay me shipping they're yours. :chuckle: Actually they're being left at the dealer for them to dispose of. |
If it is too good to be true.........................
|
thanks for the jokes guys, you make me laugh, as soon as i posted this, i looked at those photos in the ENLARGED view and i can agree with ya, those are shot!! i AM a bargin hunter, thats for sure, but id rather spend the money and get REAL new tires instead of these things.

Ahhh, check those tires again. You could hydroplane in rain real easy on those. Be careful. The Yoke's have a double groove in the center of the tread just for that purpose. These have no grooves.
