Cell phone stolen at dealership!

So here is the story..

I was at school about to leave the parking lot, I was using my center console for something and closed it. Then I tried to move it forward and the whole console lid just came off in my hands! Crazy shit in and of itself...

Since my dealership was on my way home I thought I'd stop by and see if they could just snap it back on. When I left it with them I left my cell phone in the cup holder. I brought it in and they never even took it off the driveway. The technician just tried to put it back on. It took about 30 minutes before they told me they would have to get a special part.

Anyway, I went straight home after that. Then I was about to leave the house a few hours later I was looking for my phone. I couldn't find it anywhere. I kept calling it, looking for it in my car, etc. I ended up calling Verizon that night and told them it was lost or stolen. They told me there was a 'lenghty' call that was placed earlier that evening. Well I hadn't used my phone all day, and I know for a fact it was in the cup holder when I dropped it off. So it had to be someone at the dealer that took it. Verizon wouldn't give me the phone number or tell me anything else about the call. I'll have to wait until I get my bill to get the number.

So I called my dealer and he basically was trying to tell me that nobody there would do that. Telling me that everyone their has cell phones already, that everyone leaves their shit in their car so they wouldn't steal mine, etc. That pissed me off! So it ended with him saying that he couldn't do anything else, and told me to give him the phone number that was called once I get it.

You Know, I don't really even care about the cell phone. It was a piece of crap anyway. I just want the guy to get caught...

Sorry for the long post, just pissed me off and needed to vent...

On another note, has anyone else had that problem with the console lid coming off??

Why someone would steal a cellphone and make a call is beyond me. Unless the call was to a foreign country.

I didn't have a lid came off, but I put one in. I bought a center console from a junk yard with the lid laid on its side. It was badly abused. I put the lid back on without any "special ordered" part. I do not see anything that needs to be special ordered about the sliding lid. There are only 4 screws. Now I really doubt those "Acura certified technicians"
