cars direct

Hey guys

im wondering what you guys think of cars-direct.com. Specifically, is buying a car from there smart or stupid? Im not looking to buy one right away, but by just browsing, ive found a lot of cars priced way less than most dealerships sell cars for. What are you thoughts on this?

Thx

I know several people whom have bought cars off of carsdirect.com and they've had nothing but GOOD things to say.

You can always print off carsdirect.com's price and take that to the dealer as your starting point if you're concerned...

Depends... For my parents it worked fine ( they bought both Pathfinder and Nissan Maxima). carsdirect.com was the best price, some of the dealers did not even wanted to match this price. If you are in doubt, print out carsdirect print out. Come to the dealership and try to get it bellow carsdirect price ( but don't show it to the dealer ). try several dealerships... if they all say no, show them print out from cars direct and ask them to match it... if they don't match it,just go to carsdirect.com and order it from carsdirect.com..... that's what my parents end up doing when several dealerships did not even wanted to match carsdirect.com price.
In fact, they should have done it the first time.... saves time and hassle... you just come in to the appointed dealership, fill out papers, and you are done.... no stupid fighting when negotiating the price....
but again, it depends on a car you getting... but I'd say for most of the cars they give pretty good price.... you'll be lucky if you find any dealer who can beat their price....

I just picked up a IS300 from the dealer for $200.00 less than carsdirect wanted.
