Carbon Fibre body kit for CL

I am having a CF body kit made for my CL...it will either be like the TL kit or the SEMA one (front, side and rear). It will be made in Toronto and my car is being used as the fit car.

The company that is making it is Rev (i am friends i sith the owner Roger). Before he begins, he wants to know how many ppl on here are or would be interested given that it will look
1) way better than the versus kit
2) made with CF
3) will look like the TL or SEMA kit

By the way, this is for real not like Onderground...

thanks,

is it meant to be left carbon fiber or to be painted?
if we wanted a plain fiber glass version we could paint body color would that be an option at a reduced price? i assume you could use all the same molds and stuff

similar to sema, as an add on, not as low as the versus kit, count me in. Around the same price as versus too.

If urethane costs more than fiberglass...
and real CF is twice as much as urethane...

How much will this kit be? I'm betting pretty expensive.

Hey guys...

the price...i will post soon but obviously the SEMA will be more expensive to make because it is more difficult...

it will be CF...basically it is expensive to make the first one...which is why i asked if there were gonna be enough ppl interested cause then we can do a group buy sorta thing

i will keep you posted...i am praying that i can give you guys a pricing within the next 2 weeks...price will be in CDN dollars

I have a hard time believing this kit will be afordable. CF hoods alone cost as much as the Versus kit did. Cool idea, cant wait to see it though

my guess,
$1500-$2000
real carbon fiber is hard to mold. I wouldn't want to pay $2000 and then shatter my front lip on a curb.

I don't think CF is molded... if I remember correctly it must be laid in layers like a cloth. you can't just pour it into a mold.

hand laid CF and claiming that it'll look like the SEMA kit?
I'll believe it when I see it...

Its hand laid onto a mold and then vaccum sealed untill it hardens.

like i said i am not sure how much it will cost...i don't want to apy too much and neither do most of you so i will get a CF kit made that is
1) not too low and looks good
2) well made
3) made of CF hopefully
4) not too expensive

I am actually leaning towards the TL front lip at least because it will be a lot cheaper...the rear, i like the SEMA style

I don't want to see another post like this about any kit until there is an example to go from.

If you and or this company is serious then build a model.

Until then there will be no group buy on this forum for a non existant product I am tired of people getting burned.
