Car runs when I turn off and take keys out???

Tonight I parked my car in the garage. I came back a few minutes later and it sounds like the car is on. I go out and something under the hood is still running. It didn't sound like when the car is fully on with keys in it, but something was running then finally it turned off. Any clues?????????

I really wasn't driving hard though. I had the tranny replaced about two months ago. Is this a common thing? It has me irked. This car is falling apart it seems.

I never had this happen either until tonight; the same night I get a flat tire from a nail. What luck haha/

Sounds like a fan switch is bad

Part #11: 37773-PGE-A01 SWITCH, THERMO (A-99)
Should probably run about $45 at the dealer.

i think it was ~113 on the meter in the car. it has happened once for the entire life of the car.
i don't think there were any bubbles in my cooling system as the dealer changed out the coolant for me when they swapped out my transmission assuming they are competent.

but it was seriously hot that day and i was in stop and go traffic.

Check your coolant level. If it's low this will happen.
Check for air in the cooling system. If there's air in there this will happen.
