Camry comes with 100K miles waranty

I was just at Toyota dealrship with my friend shoping for car. Dealer told us that all new Camry come with 100K miles transmission and engine waranties.
I think they got like 30K miles bumper to bumper, and then after than up to 100K on tranny and engine.
How come for our CLS everything ends at 50K?
Camry is like a cheap car, and comes with manufacture 100K miles waranty, and CLS does not ???

Toyota makes quite possibly the most reliable
cars and trucks in the world but they are not
the most fun. They are realizing that other
manufacturers are making better cars that
are attracting more and buyers.

if you want a good warranty, buy a hyundai or something.

vw has shitty warranties as well as shitty cars, and look at how popular they are.

There are several manufacturers that offer a 100K mile powertrain warranty. Hyundai, Kia, and Isuzu were the first manufacturers to offer this type of coverage. It's simply a marketing ploy to gain consumer confidence in products that aren't known for reliability. It's worked wonders for sales, but there is one catch. The 100K mile powertrain warranty only applies to the original owner, and it is not transferable.

dunno about the 2002 camry, but the current version comes with 3yr/36k mile basic and 5yr/60k mile drivetrain warranties.
