Nighthawk, what the heck are you talking about ??

I expected you to come up with a couple of good threads about windshield wipers (I got OEM's BTW), or carbon cabin filters

Added some homelink, remote, and other stuff to my above post last night...

I've noticed that alot of the stuff I'm finding in the forums by searching can be found in CHOD's FAQ... word for word sometimes... So people are cutting an pasting from CHOD, or in some cases Chod added the text from the actual post. I actually saw a couple of posts where Astroboy asked Frank to add it to his FAQ...

Every Noob should read Chod's FAQ before they should be allowed to post a question here...

I just realized that some of the stuff posted above I have put in the file I've been working on.

Maybe we should really take sections rather than doing double work?

That's why I like working online as opposed to offline on any project that's a collaberation... That way everyone can see what other people are doing...

Just have to agree on a format, and people can post up what they have... and a mod can update the "mother" post...

This is what I had up till this morning. I figured I'd just go ahead and throw this out there...
Chod’s FAQ’s

Suspension, Wheels, & Tires:

Ideas and impressions- https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177845

Spring/Strut Install DIY- https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168436

Tires-
Stock size: (CL) 205/60R16 OEM CL wheels: 16x6.5 w/+55 offset; (CL-S) 215/50R17 OEM CL-S wheels: 17x7 w/+55 offset

Aftermarket Upgrade (CL-S): 235/45R17 (same approx diameter as stock, larger foot print, more traction, & better OEM wheel protection.

Aftermarket Wheel/Tire info-

Wheels come in many different sizes making it difficult to say this will fit or that will fit across the board. One thing is certain though, an offset lower than +42 on a wheel wider than 7.5” will likely rub your rear fenders if you are lowered. Start a thread if you are questioning a particular wheel’s fitment.

RUBBING SOLUTONS: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178647&highlight=rolling+fenders

-Or buy wheels/tires that fit properly (best solution).

-RonJon Sport Design makes wheels specifically designed for Acura’s. See http://www.ronjonwheels.com/ for more info or PM the username “rondog”.

Engine Mods:

Headers- FYI: AT applications will not fit a 6spd CL-S. However, 6spd applications will fit both models.

You can find all the different aftermarket exahusts/intakes with links, reviews, pictures, prices, etc.

autocarparts.com should be VERY helpful for this.

1) type-s/non-s differences.
2) cl's produced
3) audio options (speaker sizes aftermarket DVD/navi)
4) Light bulb sizes (pics, pics, pics)

...to name a few

Ive started and closed the designated thread for this. It is titled, "The OFFICIAL 2nd Generation Acura CL Information Thread"

PM sent... edit: STEALTH CL, CLEANOUT YOUR PM BOX !!

I'm not going to pick any topics

But I WILL be available to offer any assistance you guys might need w/ VB code, HTML or hosting. I need to ask Jonesi how he handle hosting docs and images for the A/V forum faq.

PM me for my AIM screenname... or post questions here. I prefer to answer questions in a thread rather then PM because that way everyone can see the conversation, and I won't have to answer question twice (or 3 times), and in a post it's searchable via the search engine here.

Chris, I fixed your links... I didn't see anything wrong w/ the word doc, and cutting an pasting it on the forum shouldn't have disrupted the links, but I think that damn intellitext link (see the highlighted wheels) might have has something to do with it

In any case, the links work now...

I think it looks FANTASTIC !! (but I'm waiting to see the smaller banners)

Also, I think we need to agree on a formatting convention for the FAQ.

I'm thinking something between what LH and I've done formatting wise would be good... We can always change the formatting/coloring later if we want, but with alot of people contributing, it would be nice to have an agreed apon standard. That way I can distribute "templates" to people that aren't familiar w/ VB code.

When I get some time tonight, I'll whip out something quick that will combine what LH and I did (categories w/ lists under that)...

I don't really care what kind of format we use as long as it's well organized. I try to look at organization like this...

If I were completely stupid and needed to find something, what catagory would I look for or under?

Actually, if you did a good thread on it with pics, detail explanations, that might be cool too add.

We gotta keep 'em looking as good as they run, right?

Chris, you might want to create an "Ultimate Tire/Rim thread" to put this info in... then we can just link to it from the FAQ... You can wait on it tho', and hopefully others will add to what you already have...

Guys feel free to post any good links you find here, and I'll add it to the stuff me and LH have posted... Don't be worried about the VB code, someone can take care of that...

Our primary objective here is to collect the tons of data that has been posted here over the years and put in in one place so that everyone (new and old to the forum) can use it as a reference...
