California Smog equipment and removal?
I bought my car in Las Vegas in February, an 03 CL-s 6 speed, but it seems to be originally a californa car, and I have always heard that California smog requirements have extra horsepower detracting equipment installed on all cars..anyone have any details on this for our CL's and any tips on how to remove the extra stuff??

Live in Cali, never heard of that law. The only thing i can think of is that aftermarket parts have to be CARB certified. Smog check is 2 parts, a visual and the acutual smog test itself. You have to past both test.
Most aftermarket (cheaper stuff) aren't CARB cert. So they won't pass, you have to remove that part and replace it with a CARB cert part or OEM. As long as the part is CARB cert. you don't have a problem. There is usually a sticker or marking with the CARB number on it. Your AEM CAI is CARB cert. so you have no problem.
