CAI failed state inspection
I went to get my CL inspected today and the #@%*head said it wouldn't pass Texas State Inspection because K&N was the only company that was allowed by the state. I told the guy my AEM CAI actually has a K&N filter on it and he said it still wouldn't pass because the whole thing wasn't K&N. I started buggin and he told me to call the state and have them look at it. So I take it somewhere else and they said it was a bunch of BS and they pass it in less than 10 minutes. I wasted $12.50 and I know its not much but I hope none of you guys have to go through this crap.

You should file a formal complaint since all that shiet he told you was BS.... He's an inspector and should know what's acceptable instead of talking out of his ass and still charging you $12.50

AEM has a CARB #. This makes it legal in ALL 50 states. So take the CARB # and the passing test, and ask for a refund. If he doesn't refund your money, tell him you are going to file a complaint with the Inspection Board or DMV or whoever regulates his dumb azz. Maybe the threat of losing his license to do inspections will make him come to his senses. Giving you back $12.50 would WAY cheaper than not being able to EVER do inspecitons again.

file complaint with the BBB, go back and tell that guy that if he doesn't refund your $ you'll take it to the limit and shut his SHITTY operation down for good.

Thanks for the reply's fellas. I think here in TX if they inspect your car you have to pay whether it passes or fails BUT this jackass was so certain that it had to be K&N the whole way through.
