Cai

I got a 01 3.2CL not s-type and am looking to buy a CAI. I've read all the posts on other CAI and i was wondering if you guys could help me out with a question i have. I want to buy a CAI that gives me a boost but not too much sound. I want to be able to hear it a little, but I have read the the AEM v2 is really loud. If anyone has any experience and can help me out, that would be appreciated. Thanks

Still running stock. From what you say you're lookin for though, i would say you're in the in the market for a Comptech Icebox. I'm sure a good majority of the members would agree on that one.

Yes, the Icebox sounds pretty much stock, but is a little louder in VTEC. However, the Icebox isn't nearly as loud as the AEM.

the comptech icebox is well worth is more than the aem, cause if you want ur car to sound better get an exhaust. The icebox gives you significant more HP.

Question though... what's the HP output difference between the AEM and the Icebox?

From what I remember the Icebox makes like 2-3hp more than the AEM, or in other words negligible. At most they are worth 10-13hp, so its not like its a crazy amount of power in the 1st place.

I'll probably never do a CAI because I cant justify the cost. My CAI for my Mustang was $40 and just as blingy as the Injen or AEM.
