Buying extended warranty

Any members have experience with purchasing extended warranty for their rides, and then having their trannys replaced using this (not Acura's) warranty?
Getting closer to my time expiration..... still young mileage-wise...

I purchased a extended warranty on my ack, not from acura. I thought before I bought the vehicle, better to be safe than sorry.

I had my tranny replaced at 50k. Acura replaced mine at no problem at all, as long as your car falls under the replacement of the glass tranny by the dealer. Hope this helps. Most tranny issues are replaceable till 100 or 109 k!

I purchased the extended warranty and I am at 70k now. I am in a 03 6mt. Only had to use it so far for the ignitor and a rattle coming from under the dash. both fixed same day w/ a loaner provided each time. I paid something like $660 ish or something for it. purchased an extra 70k from time of purchase(39k) so I am covered till 109k. I was hesitant at first but the ignitor if I went through dealer instead of self instal would have been roughly 600 alone so I figure I am already even with 39k left to go on warranty. I also had the dealer split some housing costs for me as mine were so etched from the previous owner I wanted new ones and the total cost with install was $175 for both housings for my oop.
