Buying a CL- TYpe S

Hello fellow forum members
I am new to these fourms and am researching on Acura's TL-S, TL'04, and CL-S
After reading the many posts on Tranny problems, is it still worth buying an Acura or honda??
I was really hoping into buying a car next month.
I would really like some input from owners.
Please let me know

dude...

I bought a used 2001 cls and I love it. When I joined here i started realizing that alot of owners here bash their cars. They hate the acuras. I highly recomend the Acura cls but if I was looking into getting a brand new car I would choose the new A-Spec TL 04. That thing is so raw. but if I only had like 19000$ i would get a used 2001-2003 cls they are worth it. I hope this helps. And about the tranny....If something goes wrong its under warranty for likr 100k miles or 7 years.

They are still great cars, you get 100k powertrain warranty. If you are getting an auto, read the transmission recall sticky thread at the top of this forum.

CL or TL 6 speed is the way to go.... CL Automatics have some problems, but 6Ms have been great so far...

Acuras give great value for the $$$ - Have had mine for seven months and love driving it... FWIW, have had three Hondas (0ne Accord and two Preludes - all manual trannys) - Have been very reliable, so decided to move up to the Acura....

Cheers!

I joined a-cl.com in Aug 02 when I was doing research for a new car. I had my list down to the RSX (to small with a 4banger), BMW 330 (to much $$), a 02 or 03 Accord ex v6 (too common), 350z (2 seater) or the CLS (auto tranny problems).

I wasn't going to buy a CL with an auto tranny, so thank god Acura put the 6spd in the CLS. Otherwise I'd be driving something else right now.
