Brushing snow off the car/swirls

What do you guys use to brush snow off the body of the car? One can find snow brushes everywhere but are there better brushes that would not put swirls/scratches on the paint?
I like the clean the hood and roof etc and do see light scratch marks on the dark paint. It is a bit too cold to use the hands or mitts.

How about a gas-powered leaf blower? Not too portable though.

I take a kitchen mop and wrap it in a 100% cotton towel to remove the majority of the snow. I try not to get down to the paint. I then let the rest of it fly off out of my development.
