Congrats on the new purchase!!
Yeah, you really need to do the break in thing.
Go easy on the motor until it loosens up a little. These cars have such high tolerences in regards to milling parts and you want all the seals to there cyclic expansion and contraction a fews times to set properly. I went till about 800 niles or so before I started really putting my foot in it. Just vary your RPM's and avoid high speeds like (over 90. I will be tough to do, but it's real crucial.
Also to as the car gets broken in you will see an increase in gas MPG and performance.
Hope that helps yeah out.

HEY!!!! Right on partner!!! I'm picking up my Black/Black on Friday as well. I've heard LOTS of differing rumors about how you should treat a new car. I was curious as to how you fella's treated your babies when you first got them.
I heard that you should change the oil after 1000 miles, I've also heard 5000 as well (as say the manuals). Don't go over 55 mph for the first 1K miles. All sorts of crazy things, even to go as far as not to have the dealer wash the car before you take it. I do somewhat agree with that though. The last thing I need is some pimply 17 year old kid scratching the &@*t out of my paint before I even leave the lot!!!
What do ya'll think about some of this.
