what is the brand of xENON bulbs of a 2001 Acura cl type s??

My car has Osram Xenarc, but I just bought some from another memeber that are Philips??

And how can I tell if a XENON bulb is burned out, is there a way by just looking at it?? And the small circle in the middle of the bulb, is it supposed to be empty, meaning no charge wire going through it??

 

a lot of them came with osram xenarcs, but i heard a lot also came with philips.

how can you tell if your xenon is burnt? not sure, i've never seen one burn out in my lifetime and i've seen hundreds of them. they tend to last a very long time.

most of the time they will change colors before burning out. did you notice your light color change?

 

A burnt out HID bulb will discolor and turn ugly colors, usually rainbow or dark purple.

The small circle in the middle is the part when the arc travels from electrode to electrode. Usually contains a small amount of mercury.

Most OEM bulbs are Philips, ballasts are usually Philips or Hella. Osram & Sylvania also make OEM components, but usually on Euro cars. If it's not either of the above, it's not OEM.
