Brakes

I think my car may need brakes, i have 32 thousand miles and i think the dealer told me about 2 thousand miles ago i may have needed them. DO u think the dealer would have told me that i did if i really did or that they just wanted the extra labor for themselves. The car is shaking when i brake from high speeds, but i thought that brakes are supposed to last longer then 2 years and 32 thou miles. let me know please.
wg

Also let me know if u replaced brakes and at how many miles and who did them, what place.

You probably need to have your rotors resurfaced.

They are covered up to a point by the warranty. I think it matters how much brake pad material you have left. Most dealers are cool about it though.

i went in for an oil change in miami and i told them that my rotors were warped and that they can fix it only up to a certain millimeters on the pads....mine was too small for them to fix it and they asked me that i had to pay for it and it cant be under warranty but then the mechanic did me a favor and did it for free.

Give it a shot, take it in and tell the dealer that they've been vibrating for awhile and you understand there is a TSB for the problem. They should do under warranty.

Here you go. It a TSB Technical Service Bulletin.

Here is a copy of it, provided by EricL!!!!!

Just open it up in its own browser window and print it. You can take it to the dealer with you and you should have no problems!!! They should resurface your rotors and give you NEW brake pads, all under warranty!!!!

Good Luck!!
