Brake Service Bulletin
I have searched the site but have not found what I thought used to be on the site. Was there every any bulletin issued by acura for the warped brakes that the CL seems to get? I am feeling some shaking in the steering wheel on the highway when I brake. When I bring the car in I wanted to have as much ammo as possible to make sure I dont have to pay for the brakes to be fixed. I know that many of you have had this problem. Any info you guys can offer that I can throw at them would be a great help. Thanks

This is why I WILL NOT buy another Honda/Acura!! My GS-R had tranny problems at 20k. My dads 96 accord had tranny problems at 40K, my moms 2000 Accord had tranny problems at 20k!! I can only assume I'm next. What logical explanation does honda/acura have to not post bulletins on the problems our cars have? The only thing I can think of is they will try and get away with things that people wont notice, like the actuator, and stuff like that.

Relax guys....alldata isn't the only website with info. I didn't see anything about the brakes (didn't look too hard), but there is a decent amount of info here. This link takes you right to the page where you select your car....

you can do a search on nhtsa.com too.
i don't think there is a service bulletin for the cl brakes, just the tl.
but when i took mine to the dealer and told them they knew exactly what i was talking about.

after my 1800mi road trip, i started getting the warping (@ 16k miles, owned it about 21 months, so i knew some peopel had it but i ddin't have it yet until now).
took it in for the 15k service, told them i had vibrations and rotors may be warped, so they told me they are replacing the brake pads and resurfacing or refinishing the rotors on cl's and tl's if there's a problem, so they knew about it.
but yeah, i had to bring it up to them first but they picked up on it right away that it was a common problem (even though there's no bulletin for the cl).

Whats kind of strange is most of the TSB's on the CL-S are for problems that you hardly hear of (other than the moonroof rattle). Yet things you hear about on a daily basis (i.e. warped rotors) are not listed.
