Bought a used CL-S 6-speed last week

I decided to change my user name, I was 95LegendCoupe but now I drive the CL-S. I took it to the dealer today for some minor 'we owe you' items from the sale, and they gave me a loaner 03 RSX. It's fun to drive, I like the lower position, the steering is great, has more of a hard edge than the softer CL, but it's a slusher and I love my new CLS 6.

I miss it already, but it will have a freshened rear bumper (had some minor nicks, scrapes), will get a 2nd key fob, full tank of gas, and the 6 Speed S logo that some wannabe stole off the shift console! Besides that the 'used' 03 CLS is mint, registered in Jan, then repossessed, went to auction, I bought it last week at the dealer. Out the door total was $27k and that included the tax, title, license, and fees. I got sunroof visor and splash guards, it had 3450 miles. I was happy with the deal. I only had to finance under $14k with my trade-in and $5k down pmt.

Should get the car back tomorrow, and hopefully all will be completed and no probs, ....(dealers!

Thanks for all the good info on this car here. I've been reading here since the 01 CL came out, but patiently waited for a manual shifter! It was worth it. I like that it is a rare car and the 6 speed is even moreso and I'm fine if it is discontinued. Can only help with resale IMO.

That’s a great deal, but I hope you don’t have problems with the car.

If I had a HOT car that I knew was getting repossessed in a couple of days I think I would beat the SHIT out of it for fun.
Especially a manual.
Hopefully the clutch doesn’t give you any problems.
This will be something to watch for a few thousand miles.

PS….. I think you can keep your old user account and retain your member history and post count.
E-Mail or PM Soopa about this.

I emailed the moderators about changing my name but they never answered. Then I forgot my old password, got a new arbitrary one in email and then accidently deleted that email.

The CLS is very nice. I had driven both trans before. There are things I definitely miss abou my Legend Coupe but also things I like better in the CLS 6. It's rare to get everything you want in one car, maybe the next Acura Coupe will blend even more of the legend and the CL into an even better coupe.

I'm happy with the deal, but I know I could have done better selling the Legend, but a hassle.
First they told me it was an exec car, which I thought meant demo. I was glad it had an original owner, at least crazies like us were not demoing it everyday! The car doesn't seem abused, except for the minor things. I bet it was the original owner that pried off the 6 speed shift logo! a memento?
