Body Side Molding Located
I thought I would pass this information along to the members. I found that there is color matched body side molding (horizontal, not door edge guards or wheel well guards) from www.pacificportatrim.com I'm going to be ordering mine in Noble Green Pearl. If you don't see your color or year car, ask as they may have it.

Throw up some pics if you can after you install them.
I have wondered what it would look like with them. But it seems that if I get a car with molding and badges, I take them off. I finally get a clean looking car and I think about putting them on... Crazy..

Ok, I'll take pics as soon as I receive the molding and install it. I know what you mean and I agree with you about having a pristine vehicle with no badges, name plates, etc. I think those items take away from the car's appearance. However, I feel strongly about having good protection from dings as those dings take away from the vehicle's appearace and condition more than, I believe, body side molding. But only if the molding looks like factory installed material. This molding that I ordered appears to look real good so I took the chance. Though I wish it was thicker and wider for added protection. I couldn't locate any other moldings that would be color matched to the car so I don't have anything else to compare to. cheers

Yes, I agree that molding takes away from the clean lines of the car; no doubt about that. If the molding greatly distracts from the car's appearance, I will definitely remove it. But from the CLs I've seen with numerous dings, I want to give the molding a try; it is removable. Like so many things in life, for every advantage there is a disadvantage.

I agree that the pictures are not that great but I would be happy to send more. The sun and shade on the pictures seem to distort everything. Since I don't remember how to post pictures, I would have to e-mail them to you and you can post them for the other members to see. I know that I hadn't read anything positive thus far about the pics/molding but I think the molding actually looks fine, and I'm pretty much a perfectionist, well almost. The molding can always be removed but I have no intention of doing that as I prefer the molding over the constant worry of dings. Actually, I would have preferred wider and thicker molding. When I recently sold my 1983 T-Bird that I purchased new; it came with a wide and thick molding which protected the car flawlessly. 'For every advantage there is a disadvantage'. Let me know if you want me to e-mail pics to you so you can post.

Retired. Not available.
I think it looks great. However, this is my opinion. From what I saw, door dings are at higher locations. I have one and it's higher than the moldings so I don't think it would help a lot in the door dings deparment.
Sweeper,
props to you for trying something new. It is just want we need. Thanks.
