Yeah, try a parts yard. I found one for 300 there when I thought I needed one. Whats wrong with your car?

From what I've read, if your ABS pump stops working then your brakes will completely stop working as well.

10 minutes after inspection, modulator went bad...confirmed with 2 separate tests of resetting codes

Hey Scooter, yeah it's ~$1200 part. Best bet is to find a low mileage junker and pull the unit off it.

Damn that sucks! Has this happened to anyone else? Seems like a pretty expensive fix. Hope you get it done for the cheapest amount possible OP

Cheapest way is to pull a junk one off of another car. They rarely go bad, but it happens.

I'm good. Glad to see you still have the CLS. My TL hit 175,000 miles last week. Still running strong (on it's 3rd tranny) but hey who's counting.

Nope, not true. Mine hasnt been plugged in since the day i did the 6 speed swap. Plus that would be a HUGE liability if it failed and the person werent able to stop. Just ABS stops working.

Thin Jim, Do you still have the ABS control modulator? I may be interested if the part I'm trying to get locally doesn't come through. Thanks! Kim

If he doesn't have one, my friend has one from a totaled TL-S that came into his shop about a year back.

9 year old thread and a member that hasn't posted in over 4 years. Yeah, that's a really long shot.

I believe its the ABS wheel sensors, I had mines going on and off before they completely crapped out. $24.00 on Ebay. Just ordered mines.

The Abs sensors are installed and the TCS and ABS Lights are off as soon as I started the car .So the ebay route to buying those sensors worked out well.
