I would get the Evo in Rally Red and put some 18" SSR GT3s in silver on it, and get a carbon fiber hood (To match the big ass spoiler) and a few under the hood mods.

For the STi, I would get White with the Bronze/Gold rims.

If that helps you guys make your decisions based on color.

Beltfed, do you have any complaints with the Evo? You're the only person I know (well, sorta know) that owns one.

Can you give me a basic, uh, rundown I guess would be the word?

My friend has blue with silver rims, thank goodness. The gold rims look way ghetto, imo.

Do you think the GT-R34's gold rims are ghetto too? Just wondering.

I suppose it would depend on the car, particularly the color.

Can't really tell that those are gold, unlike the rather golden gold of the STi wheels.

Not to mention the insurance on a brand new $30,000, 300 hp car would be atleast 3 grand a year (assuming you have no points) for a 17 year old male.
i think i'm gonna move where you live, insurance for me, full coverage on a brand new g35 would definitely be about 6-8 grand a year

Nothing really so far, a number of people have bitched about the paint being shitty. In my case, I don't think its shitty....but tire dressing tends to leave yellow stains that I can't get off (annoying). I'm going to bring it to the bodyshop to see what can take it off.

Shifter is a little notchy, but I expected that though (even the M3 6spd is a bit notchy).

Well, if (when) I get a full scholarship to college.....then they will get me that instead of paying for college. I guess it's like a reward.

Big deal, you can say that about people who take over their parents businesses as well. A majority of the wealthiest people in the U.S. inherited their money, didn't work for it.

A car is no big deal in the large scheme of things.

I'll leave it at that, this subject tends to go off on a tangent.

Get the SRT-4 and with the money you save go and get laid! You can get chasey lain for 2k for an hour...although you probably only need 30 seconds!

Personally I'd get the Z for what...27k with no amenities? Save a little more and then get a turbo down the line. Aren't the STi and Evo 30k+? But yeah, get a different color other than silver (nice but too common).

If you just want speed, & no features the SRT-4 is the car. Tweek the turbo a little = 1 bad ass car. Sure it doesn't look great, but some stickers, & a body kit can fix that.

Insurance is not too bad, i had a stang and it was 1300 a year for the highest coverages when i was 19. My 3.0 is about the same and i am 20 now. Oh BTW, i bought all of them, and i own my own boat, so you can have cool stuff if you work hard for it. If it were me i would buy a vette, an older porsche, or if you want girls to notice your car, you gotta go SVT Cobra Convertible in Mystichrome purple with a rollbar and some 20" chromes. I have owned many vehicles, and i have gotten more girls in my 97 Mustang GT than i have in a 92 SL 500, or SLK 230, though not as many as convertible hummer(not mine) or my 1965 buick electra. If you really want girls you need some 60's steel with dual carbs and a big block.

About the SRT-4, I don't think I could live with myself if I drove a Neon.

A Z06? The only problem with that is I really wanted a new car w/a full warrenty. Although I may look at one when the time comes.

But I really really like the Evo, Rally Red, Carbon Fiber Spoiler and Hood, SSR GT3's.........fuck yeah!

Can somebody say "SPOILED", besides, if you are looking for ungodly fast, tell mommy and daddy to by you a Viper. If they can afford to buy you a 30,000 dollar car, they can afford to spend another 40, 000.

My MOM drives a cavalier for god's sake!

Sorry...had to vent...I've had to buy every car I've ever owned.

Not really spoiled, if u think about it , a free ride to a good school is lot more expensive than a $30k car . In a way his parents are actually saving money. Anyways, more power to him , but I still doubt the car will get him laid unless he changes his way of thinking

Like you would turn down a car if it was offered to you for free.

News flash, some people are just better off than you are......who said life was fair.

So deal with it, don't be a jealous A-hole.

he's right... my insurance is 3000 a year for my CLS. I've got a slightly blemished license ( a few wrecks) with no points (we dont' have that here, but TX is starting a point system soon)

Full coverage though... still I'm 21 now and it's expensive!!! Just wait it out, fast cars will come.

I had to pay for mine... it's a bitch, but hey... if your parents can afford to put a 30K car into the hands of a 17 year old who statistically will f* it up it's all up to them. I don't think at 17 I was nearly responsible enough to be driving some "ungodly" speed demon around the streets. That's asking for an early death certificate imho...
